First Compline Office Posted!

So I've just uploaded the first Sootoro (compline) office; as per usual, it can be found here or if you'd like to come back to it later it can be found under the 'Office Texts' tab. For those of you interested in a discussion of Sootoro's structure, click 'Read More!'

Sootoro's structure is much like what we've seen with the 9th Hour office, discussed here. So instead of simply reiterating what has already been said, I will point to the little difference it has. The only addition to Sootoro from a 9th Hour office is a qolo after the first prayer that uses Psalm 91. So far we've only seen small qole but this is a normal sized one. That is the only essential difference; additionally, the qolo in the hoosoyo does not use Psalm 117 like most 9th Hour offices do.

On a bit of a random note, if anyone is a bit confused as to why the psalms seem familiar but not 100% how you remember them this is because Psalms (mazmoore) in the Syriac tradition (as all our Scripture) is from a source called the Peshitto/Peshitta (depending on what dialect you're speaking).

Our Lord, accept our service, our prayers, come to our aid and have mercy on us!
