Post-Hootomo

So the editions prior to what Moran Mor Antoun promulgated and what he promulgated are substantially the same. However, one noticeable difference is the one promulgated by Moran or Antoun is that there is a prayer included after the Hootomo (which, in itself, means conclusion).

The "Post-Conclusion," as it's titled in Syriac, is peculiar. Both prayers are to be said by the celebrating priest. It begins with the recitation of Psalm 28:9. The second of the two prayers is what seems to be a general absolution. Interestingly, this prayer is only found in Garshuni (Arabic written in Syriac script) and it is included in the Ramsho Hootomo for the abridged version of the Shhimto called the Prayer of the Faithful, published by the Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn.

I am no liturgist but this peculiar addition seems oddly particular. The fact that it is exclusively found in Garshuni and is the only Garshuni in Moran Mor Antoun's promulgation (apart from rubrics, foreword and synaxarion) makes me suspicious that it is a later addition.
