Hoosoyo of Sunday Lilyo

Below I've attached the Hoosoyo (Proemion, Sedro, Qolo and Etro) of Sunday's Lilyo. It's pretty clear to me the reason why these offices have remained untranslated the more I look at them because it seems the certain Syriac theology revealed to them would be upsetting to certain sensibilities currently present in the Maronite Church. The Etro particularly comes to mind because it sets a typology up between the sacrifice of Abraham, Moses, Aaron and the other Levitical high priests and the current priesthood both intended for the glorification but also appeasement of God. Such ideas have been central to Syriac theology for the last two millennia and we must remember that our current priesthood is a continuation of the Levitical priesthood magnified by the Incarnation. We should not cast off the understanding of our soteriology for meaningless platitudes because it seems a bit frightening that God is not required to grant us the remission and forgiveness of sins and offenses.

Proemion
May we be worthy to raise glory, thanksgiving, worship, honor, praise, exaltation, greatness and beauty to He who, from the beginning, is the one true God who is eternally above all human understandings, reasons and thoughts; He is sempiternally without beginning and, therefore, He abides without end – the self-existent one, adorable and holy God who is known in three Holy Persons: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, whom we worship, in whom we profess and glorify at this time and in all feasts, moments, hours, seasons and days of our lives, now and in all ages, forever.

Sedro
Lord of hosts and God of spirits and all flesh, the death of those who are precious in Your eyes, Your elect, and their remembrances are pleasing fragrance You accept – remember by this incense that is offered by ourselves before You all Your holy ones who completed their race by true faith and the labor of good works, the holy fathers, the head fathers, the prophets, the apostles, the evangelists, the martyrs, the confessors, the teachers of the mysteries, those of the priesthood of truth, all righteous souls who have finished their lives, the ever-holy and glorious Virgin blessed at all times – the Birth-Giver of God, Mary, blessed John the messenger, baptizer and forerunner and holy Stephen, head of the deacons and protomartyr. Remember with them, in Your goodness, the departed believers whose remembrance we commemorate today before You.
Grant rest to their souls and order them amongst the holy ranks of Your elect. Preserve our transient and weary lives from all temptations and injuries of evil. Lead us to perfect requital and the repose that has been prepared.

On that great and terrible day in which You will be revealed in the glory of Your Kingdom when You judge the world in justice and righteousness, may we and our departed be worthy with our fathers, brothers, superiors and all departed believers to enter Your bridal chamber of light and rejoice in Your heavenly goods for ever. And as one we will raise glory to You, and to Your blessed Father and Your living and Holy Spirit, now and forever, at all times.

Qolo
Reshqoleh
Lord, who is seated upon a throne of cherubim and is unceasingly offered glory from them, accept in Your mercy the supplication which we, Your servants, offer to You. Holy are You, God, by whose divinity we are sanctified. Holy are You, Strong One, by whose power bears the height and depth. Holy are You, Immortal One, by whose compassion sinners live. Lord who is well pleased in Your Church, have pity on her and have mercy on her children. Hallelujah and Hallelujah. Forgive, Lord, and have mercy on us.

Admission

Lord God, Strong One and Mighty forevermore, to the appeasement and honor of Your divinity was offered the sacrifice of the head of the fathers, Abraham, Your friend, and offerings, incense and prayers by Moses, Aaron, Phineas, Eleazar, Samuel and David. Through them, You forgave the debts of Israel. Now accept this sweet incense which we offer before You at this time – may it be for the appeasement of Your divinity, the forgiveness of our debts, the remission of our sins and the remembrance of Your Birth-Giver, Your holy ones and the departed believers who have fallen asleep in Your hope, now and forever at all times.

Our Lord, accept our service, our prayers, come to our aid and have mercy on us!
